Define or Modify a Colour
If you have some paint that is not listed in the catalogue(s), or the colour in the catalogue does not match your paint sufficiently well, you can define a new colour or modify an existing colour. If you know the RGB values of the colour, you can define the colour easily by adjusting the RGB values or enter the colour's hex code to the right of the name field. You can also try to match the paint colour by eye as you adjust the colour elements. Matching by eye is not recommended and will very much depend on the quality of your device's screen
There are 8 slider bars representing RGB (Red Green Blue additive colour elements), CMY (Cyan Magenta Yellow subtractive colour elements) and also Saturation and Value. These bars work together enabling the user to make adjustments to the colour more easily. When any of the sliders are adjusted, the resultant colour is displayed.
Before saving the colour to the palette a name for the colour must be entered.
If you decide not to save the colour, touching outside this dialog will close it and re-enable the View Palette screen.
If you are adding a new colour, pressing the 'Add to Palette' button at the bottom right of the dialog will add the colour to the palette and to your 'My Colours' catalogue.
If you are modifying a colour in the palette, the modified colour will be saved to the palette and also the original catalogue, unless it is from the Generic Catalogue, in which case it will be added to your 'My Colours' catalogue.
